Maintenance of Twin-Screw Oil Press Machines

Maintenance of Twin-Screw Oil Presses

1) All oil cups and oil eyes must be lubricated at least once a day (calcium-sodium-based grease).

2) The gear oil used in the reduction gearbox, aside from being added at 20–30 kg during test runs, must be filtered or replaced each time a major periodic overhaul is performed.

3) The pressing plate and screw shaft components should undergo a monthly maintenance inspection. During the inspection, any oil residue must be removed, and all parts should be thoroughly cleaned and examined. If cracks or other damage are found in the screw press or sealing rings, they must be repaired or replaced immediately. (For instance, if the machine has been idle for an extended period, a maintenance check must be performed before restarting.)

4) The entire oil press machine typically requires a major overhaul every 6 months. During the overhaul, it must be completely disassembled for cleaning and inspection; if any damage is found, repairs or replacements are necessary.

5) The pulley area of the main motor should be equipped with an appropriate protective cover.
