According to the Russian Federation Agricultural Export Center, by In 2025, Russia's oilseed export revenue will surpass its grain export revenue. In the first eight months of 2025, the export value gap between Russia's oils and fats and grains stood at 8%. Experts estimate that, so far this year, total oilseed exports have already exceeded $6 billion.

In the first nine months of 2025, total vegetable oil exports amounted to 4.34 million tons, a 24% decrease year-on-year. Sunflower oil exports fell by 36%, dropping to 2.75 million tons. Meanwhile, rapeseed oil exports reached 1.07 million tons during the same period (up 31% compared to the previous year). From January to September 2025, soybean oil exports declined by 18%, totaling 508,000 tons.
In the first nine months of 2025, oilseed exports declined by 13% compared to the same period last year, reaching 1.8 million tons.
From January to September 2025, Sunflower seed exports reached 258,000 tons, exceeding In the same period of 2024, export volume increased by 34%, with more than 85% of sunflower seeds sold to countries within the Eurasian Economic Union.
During the reporting period this year, total soybean exports amounted to 457,000 tons. Compared to the same period in 2024, exports declined by 27%. China was the primary buyer, accounting for 332,000 tons.
In the first nine months of 2025, total rapeseed exports amounted to 437,000 tons (a 17% year-on-year decrease). Nearly all of the export volume was shipped to Belarus (358,000 tons) and China (67,000 tons).
