A 3,000-ton-per-day oil extraction plant will be built in northern Kazakhstan.

According to APK News, the Kazakhstan branch of Sodruzhestvo, a Russian multinational agro-industrial group headquartered in Luxembourg (Sodruzество Казахстан), will be located in Kokshetau, the capital of Akmola Region. Kokshetau, Akmola Region Investing 150 million U.S. dollars (76 billion tenge) to build the region’s largest oilseed processing plant.
According to the state government, the Kazakhstan branch is launching an investment project to build an oil-extraction plant in Kokshetau, which will process oilseeds such as sunflower seeds, rapeseed, soybeans, and flaxseeds.
The plant has a daily raw material processing capacity of up to 3,000 tons and an annual processing capacity of up to 1 million tons. It will produce 300,000 tons of vegetable oil annually, as well as 400,000 to 500,000 tons of oilseed meal and cake. Upon completion, the plant will become one of the largest oilseed processing facilities in the region. The total investment amounts to 76 billion tenge.
“Our factory will become a key player in the oilseed processing market, providing high-quality vegetable oils as well as by-products such as meal, cake, and poultry feed to the region,” noted Alexander Nikolaevich, Director of the Kazakhstani cooperative.
The project is expected to be completed within 18 to 36 months.
