Main uses
● Oil and Fat Industry: Filtration of crude oil extracted by mechanical pressing, filtration of decolored oils, filtration of hydrogenated oils, and winterization filtration of fats, among others.

How it works
During filtration, the pump draws the feed liquid through the inlet pipe into the tank, filling it completely. Driven by the pump, solid impurities are trapped on the filter mesh of the filter plate, forming a filter cake. Meanwhile, the clarified filtrate passes through the filter mesh, flows out via the outlet pipe, and exits the tank, resulting in a clean, clear liquid. As filtration progresses, more and more solid impurities accumulate on the filter mesh, causing the filter cake to thicken continuously. This, in turn, increases filtration resistance. When the pressure reaches a certain threshold, it becomes necessary to discharge the accumulated filter cake. At this point, stop feeding the raw liquid into the tank and instead introduce compressed air into the tank through the overflow pipe, pushing the remaining liquid from the tank into another leaf filter unit. Once the compressed air is turned off, if you're filtering decolorized oil or hydrogenated oil, steam is introduced into the tank to aid in the drying process. For other types of oils—such as crude oil—you can simply blow compressed air into the tank to help dry the filter cake thoroughly. After the cake has been fully dried, shut off the steam or air supply, open the butterfly valve, and activate the vibrator to gently shake the filter plate, dislodging the filter cake from the mesh.
