Product Overview

With the increasing availability of oilseed crops such as cottonseeds and sunflower seeds, it has become crucial to properly screen the shelled oilseeds. Selecting the right screening equipment is essential for ensuring the smooth progression of subsequent processing steps. Our factory has developed and manufactured the JFS series of shell-and-kernel separation screens—your ideal choice. The JFS series is designed specifically to separate the mixed kernel-shell material produced after shelling. By leveraging the difference in specific gravity between kernels and shells, this equipment efficiently achieves the goal of separating and screening the kernels from their shells.

Features

This machine features compact power and allows the ratio of kernels to shells within the nuts to be adjusted according to the manufacturer's specific needs, ensuring it meets users' diverse requirements.

Structure

The device primarily consists of a feed inlet, a three-layer screw separation screen, an almond screw conveyor, and a transmission mechanism.

How it works

After being shelled, the mixture of kernels and shells enters the upper auger through the feed port. As the auger rotates, the heavier kernels pass through the screen holes and cascade down the inclined chute into the lowest-layer kernel auger. Meanwhile, the shells and any unseparated kernel-shell mixtures are conveyed to the second-layer auger, where they undergo further screening—resulting in a total of three stages of separation. The kernels then flow via the kernel auger to the kernel outlet, from where they are transferred to the next processing step by additional conveying equipment. Meanwhile, the shells can be directly sent to the shell storage bin. If conditions permit, the separated shells can even be fed back into the circular screening system for an additional round of cleaning, helping to reduce the residual kernel content within the shells.
